The “Eras Tour” is Taylor Swift’s sixth concert tour and is named after the stages of her career. Here are records it’s broken.

After running for more than a year and a half, Taylor Swift’s behemoth Eras Tour has come to an end—and here are the 18 records it broke during its run.

The Eras Tour is Swift’s sixth concert tour and is named after the stages of her career, with each show spanning three and a half hours. Beginning in March 2023, the record-breaking tour saw the pop superstar perform 149 shows across five continents.

At 34 years old, she was already the most-streamed artist on Spotify in 2023 and 2024. She holds the record for most “Album of the Year” Grammys. But her groundbreaking Eras Tour is a game-changer unto itself, as it has gone on to be the highest-grossing concert tour of all time.

Here, Newsweek has compiled the records Swift broke with her worldwide tour, courtesy of Action Network, a sports media company. Newsweek emailed a spokesperson for Swift for comment on Friday.

Swift has broken numerous impressive records, taking the top spot from a variety of other iconic performers. The Eras Tour broke the record of Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road, which brought in $939 million over five years and 328 shows and became the highest-grossing concert tour by a solo artist, as well as the highest-grossing concert tour of all time.

The pop superstar also broke the record of Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet Tour, becoming the highest-grossing concert tour by a female artist. It was also the first tour to ever cross the $1 billion gross threshold. At the time of writing, the only other tour to achieve this is Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, the concert film documenting her groundbreaking global tour, shattered records upon its October 13, 2023, release. It surpassed Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never to become the highest-grossing concert film of all time, amassing over $200 million worldwide. Additionally, it claimed the title of the highest-grossing concert film by a female artist, previously held by Miley Cyrus’ Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert. The film also became the first in its genre to cross the $200 million milestone.

Swift’s Eras Tour has set unprecedented attendance records at iconic venues worldwide. She broke single-day attendance records at stadiums such as Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Anfield in Liverpool, Lumen Field in Seattle and Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.

She also set the biggest single-day concert attendances in Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis; Nissan Stadium, Nashville; and Strawberry Arena, formerly known as the Friends Arena in Solna, Sweden.

The singer became the first artist to play multiple shows at several venues during a single tour. She achieved two-show records at venues like Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City and Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. She also set three-show records at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and PGE Narodowy in Warsaw. The tour saw her perform four shows at Accor Stadium in Sydney, five shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood and six shows at both SoFi Stadium and Rogers Centre in Toronto.

As a female artist, Swift broke barriers by becoming the first to headline venues like Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Estádio da Luz in Lisbon and Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati. She further set milestones for the most shows by a female artist at several venues. These included two-show records at Allegiant Stadium, Estádio da Luz and Ford Field in Detroit, as well as three-show records at Soldier Field in Chicago and Singapore National Stadium in Kallang.

She also broke records by performing four shows at Foro Sol in Mexico City, five and six shows at Singapore National Stadium, and an unprecedented seven and eight shows at Wembley Stadium in London.

The Eras Tour has redefined the scale of live music tours, setting records not only in revenue but also in audience engagement and global reach. Her concert film extended that legacy, cementing her status as a record-breaking force in the entertainment industry.

Swift expert Zachary Hourihane has said Swifties who are concerned about whether the pop star will tour again need not worry. He told Newsweek that the “Cruel Summer” songstress will almost certainly tour again soon.

“The Eras Tour was an isolated, cultural moment—spanning her entire career, celebrating the reclamation of her master recordings. What we know about Taylor’s work ethic (from the release of two re-recorded projects and a brand new album, all in the 21 months of the tour itself) is that she’s in an era of hyper-productivity,” he said.

“She’s a natural performer, an extrovert, a storyteller, and above all else: a businesswoman. There is simply too much upside in live music for her to give up touring entirely.”
